Our community supported agriculture programs are a partnership between community members and the farm. We offer a few different CSA options to suit the various needs of our customers. A CSA share provides you with 20 weeks of our seasonal, organic vegetables from June to October.
By purchasing your farm share in the winter or spring, you provide the farmer with much needed cash when money is tight. CSA shares are always a great value! The earlier you join, the better the value.
We offer Full and Half Shares. Full shares are 12 items per week and suitable for 2 to 4 people. Half Shares are 6 items per week and are suitable for 1-2 people.
An "item" may be 1 pound of heirloom tomatoes, 1 pound of carrots, 2 salad turnips, 2 cucumbers, 1 lettuce head, 1/3 pound bag of spinach, 2 large onions.
The selection of available vegetables changes as the season progresses. Here is a list of the over 30 different vegetables we grow each season.
Visit the Farm Stand once a week to select your own items. The farm stand is open for pick-up from 2 - 6 pm on Tuesdays & Fridays, and on Saturday mornings from 8am - 1pm. On-farm pick-up allows you to pick your own herbs and flowers from our you-pick garden!
Select your weekly veggies from at one of our weekend farmers' markets: Saco FM - Saturdays, 8am-12pm or Scarborough FM - Sundays, 9am-1pm.
Unlike our on-farm and market pick-up shares, our Biddeford Drop-Off option is a pre-selected assortment of weekly vegetables. The pick-up location is MacArthur Library on Main Street, Tuesdays from 4-6pm.
Egg shares can be picked up at any time from our cooler. Use the checklist to keep track each time you take a dozen. Shares purchased now can be used as soon as payment is received. Our eggs are certified organic and raised on pasture!
The 20 dozen egg share is $140, 10 dozen is $75.
Our neighbor Ingrid at Three Charm Farm in Alfred makes goat/sheep's milk yogurt and cheese. She offers two add-on options for our CSA. With the yogurt share you will receive one pint/quart of yogurt each week. The cheese share offers a rotating selection of plain and marinated chevre and feta.
Zoe and Nicole of Wild Few Herb Farm are past Girard Farm apprentices who grow medicinal herbs in Arundel. They offer an add-on option for our CSA for pick-up on the farm one day per month. Each month you will receive 4 generous bundles of fresh medicinal herbs, May-October. By the end of the season, you will end up with a cabinet full of medicinal formulations that you made yourself, and knowledge about the basics of herbalism. The medicinal herb share also offers one apothecary item made by Wild Few, and a booklet of herbal introductions + How-To's for making your own tinctures, tea blends, oils, and salves. The 6-month-long Medicinal Herb CSA is $350 and goes from May-October.
Sign-up now so that we can plan for our fall shares in 2024. Four bi-weekly pick-ups through November and December. These Farmer's Choice shares include a variety of fresh greens, winter storage crops, and canned goods. Fall CSA is $200.
Flower bouquets arranged by Jhoan and ready for you at your CSA pick-up for 12 weeeks between July and October. The Flower Share costs $150 for the 2024 season.
